Some of the courses we offer are;

These courses can be carried out at various locations across Ireland such as Dublin, Galway, Mayo, Donegal, Kildare, Offaly, Westemath, Meath, Monaghan, or at our task specific training centre located in Co. Roscommon which is centrally located for travelling candidates.

As well as CSCS courses, We also offer training in manual handling, abrasive wheels, Working at heights, Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, and Forklifts.

Our aim is to provide a first class crane training service that meets the needs of all of our customers from national contractors to private individuals.

We have a qualified instructors available to offer knowledge and practical tips on safe, efficient operation of cranes.
All of our engineers are highly trained and certificates of training can be provided on request. NCLS is an independent training provider based in Roscommon. We specialise in providing training for safer lifting operations and associated work.

We also have a range of cranes in our yard such as mobile and crawler cranes which we offer to personnel wishing to brush up on their skills prior to completing the UK CPCS or Irish CSCS card schemes.

Crane Supervisor

Crane Supervisor Course
Aimed at those supervisors chosen to implement and oversee the lift plan issued by the Appointed Person, the Crane Supervisor’s responsibility is to make sure the plan understood by all under his control and that it is carried out only as stated, all current regulations and best practice is used to give this supervisor knowledge to carry out the role.

Appointed Person

Appointed Persons
The Appointed Persons Training Course is aimed at people who are responsible for planning lifting operations in Ireland and the UK
Course ContentInstruction is provided on:

site conditions
proximity hazards
various lifting equipment and configurations
lifting accessories and configurations
certification and documentation
load and ground calculations
staff roles and responsibilities
PPE
method statements
risk assessments
other peoples involvement
safe systems of work

Great emphasis is given to instructing on regulations and best practice.

Crane Operator Training

Crane Operator Course
This role is classed “Safety Critical” and as such a comprehensive training and testing programme is in place for both novice operators and those who need refresher training or have to learn a different type of crane, training and testing is offered on all types of crane and course duration is dependent on candidates experience and type of crane.

Slinger / Signaller

Slinger/Signaller Training Course
This course is aimed at those members of staff who attach lifting accessories to the crane and also use signals to control crane movements.
This course offers instructions on:

sling selection
various configuration applications
visual examination
certification
SWL and the correct methods used to attach to the load,
various signalling methods.
